The lone fisherman in the inflatable canoe capsized after catching a rather large item/fish. So we launched the dinghy to pick something up that he’d been swimming towards, turned out to be a bit of polystyrene with fishing line wrapped round it. Hardly vital but at least it saved the ocean somewhat!
Went to the neighbouring beach, anchored the dinghy out of the surf and swam ashore. A quiet one today with wonderful rocks.
Had a good view of the boat in the distance .
It’s remarkably difficult to get back into the dinghy in deep water so we keep a wide, roll up, nylon webbing loop/step tied onto the side. It tips the dinghy alarmingly to one side so F rigged it, tied from the bow. This proved to be a rather more tricky lunge and belly flop back in. Probably not a pretty sight for those watching the three of us struggling one after the other, but rather entertaining to watch.
Left in the mist again later in the afternoon to go on to Combarro. Spotted some dark fins- only dolphins. Phew!
