Moved north to San Vicente as the swell moved round the northern point of the island. Had a night at anchor before going into the Yacht Club, for reprovisioning, decent showers and a delicious meal in the Yacht Club restaurant. Achieved all of the above.
Had a walk along the boardwalk, first statue a Galician woman and child.

Further on came across another sculpture
with men wearing masks. Covid?

No. A monument honouring the volunteers of the Prestige oil spill disaster in November 2002 off the Galician coast. Spain’s worst ecological disaster, as of August 2003 66000 of 77000 tonnes of oil had been spilled.
In the restaurant met a chap we’d seen earlier. He had wanted to go to Isla Salvore off Ria da Arousa, but had been warned against it due to Orca activity, just north of us.
We subsequently read the following. Had been hoping to keep it quiet and weren’t going to mention it to C!
---
EN : Seven orcas entering the Ria de Arousa this morning on the 23rd, be careful, they were identified B007-GLADIS ALBARRACÍN/IB4-SCARLETT, A019-GLADIS ESTRELA/IB29-KORA, both very active in interaction and also PINGU.

Will be super vigilant.
