Georgetown Yacht Basin

As our stores were getting low we decided to go into Georgetown Yacht Basin further up the Sassafras river as they said they had a courtesy car for customers use.  When we arrived at the yacht Basin we filled up with fuel and then went to our slip. Plenty of room between the slips so no problems getting in.  The marina dock master Lily was very helpful. when we asked about using the courtesy car we were told that it can only be driven by an American driving licence holder, but one of the chaps from the shop/chandlers should be able to take us in the morning.

We had decided to eat out that evening so Chris, Dick and Frank went off to see what the nearest restaurant had to offer. Unfortunately it is closed and up for sale, so we will have to go to The Granary across the bay.  Lily will take us in the launch at 18.00 and we can walk back (about 20 minutes).

We had a very nice meal in The Granary and had a wonderful view of the sunset along the river.

The next day, as promised, Lily took us to Wal-Mart in Delaware (Georgetown is in Maryland) and the liquor store, even though it was her day off.

As it was now early afternoon we decided to go back to our anchorage for the night and then leave the next day for Hart-Miller Island.
