Falmouth
We left Jolly Harbour on Thursday 27th November and headed to a deserted Deep bay for the night. This was really a shake down cruise to make sure everything was working OK. The next morning we headed to the south coast of Antigua to Falmouth harbour. This is a large anchorage with marinas, buoys or you can just anchor. We opted to pick up a buoy. This is where all the big super yachts come in to collect their passengers etc. While we were there, it seemed to be a stream of the coming in daily, presumably preparing for some Christmas cruising.
We met up with “Spray” again who had come down to Falmouth a few days before us to wait for their friends Barry and Jennifer to arrive from the UK.
From Falmouth it is just a short walk to English Harbour/Nelson’s Dockyard where we checked out before leaving for our next port of call – Des Hais on Guadeloupe |
