We're still managing to sail at 6.5 knots but the sea state is still making it a very very rolly ride.

The lightweight headsail ripped in two places, once in the night and once this morning. So the dakron has been out and with me lowering the sail, Paul and Amy managed to complete the repairs. The problem is because the sail is so thin and it doesn't have a UV protector strip around the leech line, the sun has done it's damage and in places it is wearing away.

The weather has caused some pretty mean looking skys, morning, noon and night. But last night there was a particularly spectacular sunset. I'm not sure if the pictures quite capture so you'll have to take my word for it that it was beautiful.

As the sun goes down in the west the whole sky is splashed with orange, even the east

Then we spotted the slither of moon, a couple of hours later and it was gone, not that it would have provided much light anyway
