Thursday 12 th August

What a difference a day makes at 5 am the wind had disappeared and we had to motor for the next10 hours.

The boats in front of us are further south; they had reported a wind shift from south to north with 30 -40 knots of wind and rain squalls. We had estimated that this trough would reach us five hours later; we were reefed in and ready. Thankfully we onlycaught the edge of it, with the wind reaching just 15 knots.

  

A stowaway war discovered in the early hours of the morning but Paul was not to pleased when he saw the mess he had made the following morning
