Soufrierre, St. Lucia

13:51.298 N 61:03.845 W Soufrierre, St. Lucia Another anchorage another boat
boy! Daniel greeted us as we entered Soufriere bay and for $ EC 10 (£2.50) he
secured us to a mooring buoy, then took a stern line to shore and tied us to a
palm tree, this stops the boat from swinging around on its mooring. It was a
lovely place to moor, along a small beach. 4 boats had sailed in together and
Daniel was keen to sell us a trip, after agreeing a price he collected us 20
minutes later by water taxi and took us ashore. Our first stop was the Sulphur
Springs, a bit smelly with bubbling pools and huge spurts of steam. We then
went on to the Piton Falls where hot water comes straight from the volcano into
2 baths. These were like hot tubs where we spent half an hour soaking in them.
On the way back we stopped off in the town to have a look around it’s an
interesting place with many old Creole buildings we also spotted
