7 July: Breakfast at the Juice Bar and then we went for a walk around to the swimming beach and had a swim. The water there was noticeably warmer than other places we have been so far. We came back to the boat then went to the Zogari bar to watch the Di Minaur v Djokivic Wimbledon match, Demon going down in 4 sets. Returned to the boat where I was unsuccessful getting sound system operating. Appears to be a fault with the amplifier. We then went out for dinner and late in the evening Catherine's daughter Ella and her partner Cooper arrived from the airport, having flown in from Gatwick. Catherine settled them into their accommodation at the Blue Suites.

8 July: Commenced chores around the boat preparing for Catherine's departure tomorrow morning. We all met at the Juice Bar for breakfast, I then headed off to the marina office to get another card for power. Early afternoon I had another go at the sound system, finding a third device, an equaliser, behind a panel adjacent to the compartment below the control seat in the saloon. It was not powered up. Using the multimeter, I tracked the problem back to loose connections in the junction box. Fixed  the connections and we now have the sound system back up. I question why we have a new Alpine head unit (which has an equaliser built in) connecting to another equaliser which connects to two amplifiers (one for the cockpit speakers and one for the saloon Bose speakers). I would think with current technology it could be done with the head unit feeding one multizone multichannel marine amplifier.  Early afternoon we walked to the swimming beach for a dip. Catherine, Ella and Cooper stay on whilst Carol and I walked back to the boat, then we headed off to Zogaris to watch Wimbedon, Sabalenka v Siegemund (2/1). Later we had drinks aboard before having dinner at H Psatha, a traditional Greek restuarant.

9 July: Catherine departed at 7am to catch a taxi to the airport with Ella and Cooper. Always great to have Catherine on the boat. Always up for the challenge and always puts her hand up to have a go, learn and help. Good for her to have a break from her very busy work environment. Carol and I got to work getting washing on, then a boat wash. The shore power tripped along a section of pedestals, so we lost shore power and water. I started the genset to continue the washing machine. I then tracked down the switchbox along the town quay for the section of pedestals that were down, managing to pick the lock, open the cabinet and turn the breaker back on. We would otherwise have to wait at least a couple of hours for the office to open. Continue to prepare the boat for Mick and Julie's arrival mid afternoon .

Catherine left today. Great to have on board, good hand, always up for the challenge.

Berthed at the town quay, Preveza
