9am ran the genset and water maker and we prepared for departure to Sarande, leaving at 10am. Catherine made up breakfast of fresh fruit and yogurt. At anchor in the bay at Sarande. I took the passports into the agent to clear entry into
Albania, they were ready in half an hour. Lightspeed quicker than clearing or entering Greece! We then headed into shore for lunch and supplies in Sarande, going to the local market for fruit and vegetables. Then back to the boat for a swim, before having
an Aperol Spritz then into shore for dinner. Sarande appeared far tidier than previous visits, hopefully some of the tourist money is finding its way back into local services. Great to have Zimi with us to act as our interpreter. Local currency is Lek, 100
Lek to 1 Euro. Some things are still very cheap, local shops, the market and so on. The beach tourist bars and restaurants on the other hand are not cheap. The local wine is very good, generally the case wherever we go. Understandably, the locals have had
a few hundred years to get the best grapes for the local environment! Chillin’ Sarande beachfront Local goods Fruit and veg market Good food and local wine Nightlife, beachfront
