We have turned the corner at 40N 60W and are
heading East for the Azores now.
"Running down our Easting", but that was
the sailing clippers running for Cape Horn.
Washing the windows: Another crest came
right over us just then.
Using the computer is risky as when I say little
water is getting in that is only relative. there are patterns on the keyboard as the sun comes through the
water streaming down the window above. My hands are salty but I keep one on the computer all the time to avoid
flight.
I found a little battery on a curtain rail this
morning, It must have been on the shelf opposite. My little alarm clock
that it was in was down near the potatoes, I expect I will find the hands
and face.
This computer has been in the oven with the camera
and phones as we had lightening two days ago. The cooker catches
spray on this tack when the hatch is open and there were drips on it even in the
oven.
Still - sunshine, shorts, water at 22C and making a
steady 6 knots. You don't even need a sleeping bag at night.
Now we will see if the satellite phone
can cope.
