Or Portugal more like!!

We left Ponto Delgada on Saturday at midday and current calculations are that we have 410 miles left to go having spent three days at sea. After a frustrating start with the wind we have finally found good wind from Cape Finisterre spilling down the Portuguese coast giving strong northerlies. However, looking at the forecast these are due to dissipate later leaving us with just 5 knots of wind which will leave us motoring probably for about 24 hours before we pick up wind off the Portuguese coast.

Biggest drama of the trip so far was the galley drawer departing from it’s rails when we were healed over in he night with a big crash which gave everyone a start. On inspection the rail is broken so another fixing job for port when we get in.

We also need to monitor fuel situation carefully to make sure we are not left short if we are forced to motor more than expected but other than that all well apart from it being distinctly chilly at the moment not Mediterranean at all, hopefully will be warmer when we get into Portugal.
