Hi Folks,
Still on location , Sunday , up bright and early
after a pretty awful night of winds and rain , very squally all night ,
proceeded to the village in Z boat to get the bread and other goodies , caught
in one of those unexpected squalls and got absolutely drenched and all this
before 6 o/c in the morning .. Rob and myself sat or rather stood like drown
rats on the jetty under a palm tree hut , a couple of locals in (Product) good
old Landrover 110 were on the jetty and offered us a lift , we weren't in a
position to argue so we hopped in and they took us to the bakery and back to the
jetty , we expected the usual Panama how much, but had a bounjorno no problem
which was much appreciated by myself and Rob ..
Arrived at Rhythm with there goodies of
copious amounts of bread , then arrived back onboard and got the pot on , ten
min later we were sat at the table scoffing fresh quasons and pano chocala , in
the middle of the Pacific , o la la ... and very nice it was to .
Next mission was getting the info from our French
and Brazilian friends on Dolci Vita , they have toured the Island extensively so
we have cherry picked the best bits and once sorted here will proceed around the
island to the other side following his route .
Next was the turn of the Computer guy in the
fleet to visit , Rick from Panacea , an American guy who checked out the Dell
laptop , he must have the Midas touch because he turned on the knackered laptop
and it came on and functioned , this is coming to you from it , its first
transmission for six weeks ! and we downloaded a UGRIB , I am still shocked and
amazed , hope when we shut it down it starts again , problem with the Dell
laptop is a spamming virus .. so we will have to get our virus tools updated and
purge the system ..
Off to Ikes for Sunday roast tonight , and some
astro lessons !
