We took Friday off and took off into the mountains. The weather was overcast and rainy and the roads super windy but we headed off for Roque Nublo which means the Rock of the Cloud. Lots of backseat driving from us all, and Mike was an impeccable driver - thank you.. we drove up through the cloud and found this fabulous place - a sacred site for the Guanches peoples who inhabited the islands before the Spanish arrived in the late 15th century. And we had a truly delicious lunch on the way to the Roque in the El Patio restaurant - solomillo and canarian potatoes. It was great to get out of the marina and worrying about the things we haven’t got.
