From Torssukatak we headed  toasilaq the "capital" of this area for fuel. We had hoped to  purchase some fuel pipe too  but the store closed just as we arrived. The evening was spent at the Angamagsallik Hotel having a beer for the first time for a while. Sunday saw us off to Apusiajik fjord, another area with a retreating glacier.  Al, Dave and Nigel had a walk ashore before our last supper together.

The flight home was on Monday so it was  off to the anchorage at Kulusuk before saying goodbye to Ian, Al and Dave, with Nigel flying the following day. Bags were packed, Umiak cleaned all whilst being in a windy anchorage. It was a shame to see them go. They were great fun and we have many fond memories..

The start of the new gang arrived in the afternoon. Olly we know about, this is his forth expedition on Umiak. Gringo was with us in 2022 and Tracey is our new member introduced to us by Tim. She lives in Switzerland, having retired from teaching at Aiglon College and is both a sailor and mountaineer.

Yesterday morning Nigel flew out and we headed off to Tasilaq again in search of fuel pie.. Success this time. Then we picked up Karl and John and headed back to Apusiajik John had sailed with us last time when we couldn't get in because of ice and skis with us in Samoens. Karl I knew as he had worked for Exlogs and I was reacquainted with him at the Alpine Cub lectures in Keswick. He is a very experienced mountaineer, ex BAS and live in North Cumbria.

After anchoring Olly was keen to demonstrate his new drone. The sacrifice to the Greenland God of Drones happened in record time this year!!

Now we have stopped laughing ( actually we haven't ) we are heading North rather than our original plan.
