A fast but very uncomfortable day.  During the night we entered the trough and this morning we had 100% cloud cover and wall to wall squalls.  The wind picked up to anything between 16 and 24 knots, the sea is horrid.  However, on the positive side, we are now north of 20 degrees south which means we are hopefully clear of the area for the possible squash zone, where it would be far more uncomfortable than this.
