cracking along, with an outside chance of making Bermuda by Sunday
nightfall. The wind held all through the night, died a little just after dawn,
but after an hour of motoring filled in to 20 knots again. Then after a brief
period of 30 knots, it fell away to 10 knots or so, and now the engines rumbling
away pushing us onwards north. The weather is stunning with a calm blue, blue
sea occasionally decorated with long lines of Sargasso weed. The last hour has
seen the whole crew washed and scrubbed sitting with legs dangling from the
swimming step – much needed and very refreshing. Knot of the day – rolling hitch
Bowling along in the breeze, Liv on helm, Pete trimming
