A Coruna marina
We are now in A Coruna marina, the final stop for Catherine and I.

It was 44 miles here from Muxia and as you will no doubt have guessed we had to motor all the way!
We spent yesterday, clearing the laundry, shopping and making up 4 meals for the sailors to pull out of the fridge on their passage across to Falmouth.

Catherine and I will head to the airport in the morning and Liz arrives on the plane we will be returning on.
It has been great to see some new places on our journey along the Atlantic coast, Cadiz and Porto particular favourites for me ( and not just because of the shoe shops!)

A section of sailing along the south coast of England awaits.

Biscay preparations
The weather window for sailing north opens almost as soon as our additional crew Liz arrives. We’ll hopefully have time to buy her lunch, get her gear stowed and replace the seal housing on the forward heads which despite my best efforts could not be fully repaired without a new piece which Liz is bringing, together with another seal kit and importantly, more cup-a-soups for the passage north.

We’re closely watching the weather systems as they cross the Atlantic, and for a change, we’re expecting wind behind or off our port aft quarter which should make for a quick passage over the 435 miles to Falmouth. Our previous daily-run record was about 170 miles during the Atlantic East West crossing - it would be nice to beat that.

Our passage planning software says arriving Sunday night (picture below) - can’t quite believe it will be that good, and we’ll be anchoring in Falmouth Roads if it is.

We’re actually hoping to be in Falmouth by Monday, as long as the wind does what’s expected, and will be berthed in Port Pendennis marina for the next month before making for the Scilly Isles hopefully.
