Weather: partly cloudy, mild

As mentioned in my previous post, my plan is to get under way as soon as the weather looks favourable from the 15th onwards. Now that we are getting closer to this departure date I have started looking at the weather forecast. It looks like a front is coming through on Friday with fresh SW'ly winds behind it. So, at this stage, the earliest we are likely to leave is Sunday when the winds are forecast to still be in the SW but will have eased significantly. From there the wind should back gradually into the North as a high pressure system passes over South Australia, perfect for heading towards Bass Strait.

But the above is based on long range prognostications so we shall wait and see how the weather unfolds later in the week. Meanwhile I am doing a bit of painting and a few other chores getting Sylph and crew ready for sea again after an all too long a period alongside.

All is well.
