Second try at sending this.
Dear Family and Friends,
22nd May 2015
In your preparations for such an endeavour as ours, you try to think of all
the things you may possibly need. Of course there are bound to be bits that
weren’t on the list. Once again I am very thankful for the inclusive list of
medication Huttons the shipping chemist recommended for us. The doctor who
inspected us in the Galapagos praised the kit as the best she had seen! Although
it might seem costly for conditions like worms you hope never to suffer from,
the knowledge that you have that covered is invaluable. Over the last week it
was a good bet that I had a bladder or kidney infection, and there in the kit
were the antibiotics for such a condition, I am now feeling much better. Self
diagnosis at sea is not easy, you worry you have got it wrong.
We set off from Ua Pou yesterday around lunchtime and had good winds until
mid morning today when we had to switch the motor on, we change course in 300
miles time when we enter the Tuamotus. Once again life on board is routine
washing, cleaning, a bit of boat maintenance, writing up our blog, planning for
our next stop in Tahiti.
Frustratingly the satellite signal has been intermittent so forgive us if
we have not replied to your email.
All our best,
Lynne and Alan |
