Triangle Race T-6 Dartmouth to Falmouth and T-5 Falmouth. Another early start with a 4am alarm to get going at first light to hit the weather window to Falmouth. What a lovely sail it was with fairly light winds and for once not directly on the nose. Round Start point and past Salcombe we went then across by Eddystone Light house.
We had a lovely pod of dolphins and Phil got a great video of them. We had heard the marina was full and when we arrived we could see why, some huge super yachts taking up oodles of pontoon space. Hanuman J boat and the biggest carbon ketch ever built now called The Creek formally Hetairos, it is massive ! (It needed a video as it wouldn’t fit onto a photo!) great meal out in a little Latino place on the quay. This morning I sad goodbye to my delivery crew of Phil Lindsay and Richard Lindsay what a fun trip it’s been. Moored next to me is another Sunfast 3200 Encore with Nigel aboard. Encore has been having troubles with guess what ???? It’s water pump!! So a quick trip aboard this morning to help fix it with a new impeller, tightened jubilee clips and a cleaned up pump, now working much better. Jobs on Purple Mist are minimal but I do need to fix a bit of damage after a solo boat bumped into me in Dartmouth
