The update from us all today includes devastating news as the crew are leaving for home, the feedback I’ve had is of personal safety concerns as we have had trouble with the Auto Pilot. Some discussions have been about being of a certain age that comes with a tendency to be risk averse. There have been some tough moments during the trips from Gibraltar to Lanzarote and to Cape Verde, it is certainly a challenging endeavour to cross an ocean but I am proud that we have all worked very hard together and worked well to keep each other safe.
The issue leaves me to ponder my immediate future in regard to getting the boat to Grenada and I’m gradually coming to terms with the task ahead of recruiting strangers to help on the crossing.
I will be forever grateful to Mark, Martin Dave & Tony for all they have put into Magic Pelagic. I Will do my best to keep the blog updated, its been a pleasure so far as we have all had input into it and this will be sorely missed.
