We really needed to have our primary autopilot and steering sorted out here in Antigua.
Randal (former owner) helped us to track down and send a new Comnav pumpmotor as well as a seal kit for the Capilano steering cylinder.
It all arrived in one box to customs Antigua April 7 according to UPS tracking. That didn´t mean it later arrived to the marina and where the package was located seemed a mystery. After thorrow research the only reasonable alternative was main post office in the capital St John´s. I was advised from marina staff that I would not manage to get the package out myself and was accompanied by one of the locals who knew his ways around. The package was in the postoffice and after tedious (and as usual useless)bureaucracy I had it in my hand.
The steering cylinder needed to be brought to a mechanical workshop to be refurbished and new sealkit installed and in the waiting time we headed out in Antigua cruising grounds. Heading west along the southcoast turning north along the west coast we ended up in Bird Island on the NE coast of the island. Almost encircling the whole Antigua the island is full of beautiful white beaches but all of them with at least one resort connected to the beach. Bird Island though is a marine reserve and beautiful. We spent 3 days anchored here paddling,  snorkling and filling up our energy supplies.
