Tuesday evenings is international quiz night at Prickly Bay marina.  Attended by a lot of foreign yachties and medical students, they do try and come up with questions that cater for the entire audience, including some on modern music and video games.  Even so, you have a big advantage if you are both a native English speaker and relatively long in the tooth.

 

When we arrived there was one team of old yachties who usually scored well.  One member of said team was heard to declare “we always win the quiz night”.

 

So, when our team (“Lily’s peeps”) won the star prize of a trip in the floating bar with free beer and pizza, we had no qualms in touring the anchorage declaring that there were new champions in town.
